However, there is still a considerable gap between Chinese enterprises and developed countries in terms of quality management level and competitiveness. Six Sigma management is an inherited new development of Total Quality Management, which has gradually evolved from a process improvement method to a strategic initiative to enhance the competitiveness of enterprises.
On the morning of April 13th, the injection molding factory held the 2017 Six Sigma kickoff conference. More than 80 people, including Mr. Mo Meihua, Assistant General Manager of the Injection Molding Plant, Mr. Luo Biao, Quality Manager of the Injection Molding Plant, and Mr. An Wenzhi, Senior Director of the Injection Molding Plant Technology Department, attended the kick-off meeting together.
The kickoff meeting was chaired by Mr. Mo Meihua, an advocate for Six Sigma in the injection molding plant. Mr. Mo Meihua first reviewed the development of Six Sigma in the injection molding plant since 2015. Mr. Mo Meihua said that a total of 74 people (including auditors) participated in Six Sigma training for 4664 hours. As of 2016, a total of 26 people in the injection molding plant had passed the China Association for Quality Control Six Sigma exam, with a pass rate of 58%, far higher than the national average of 28%.
Mr. Mo Meihua then presided over the 2016 Six Sigma Project Award Ceremony for Injection Molding Plants, where the HP2 Jiang Lanhang team won the first prize; HP3 Liu Licheng's team won the second prize; HP1 Ye Ganglian team won the third prize.
Mr. Mo Meihua said that in 2017, the injection molding factory included Six Sigma projects in the KPI strategy of each business unit, requiring each business unit to have two Six Sigma projects. We will focus on promoting and developing the role of Six Sigma in injection molding factories, enhancing their competitiveness in the industry. Six Sigma is international, and many international clients require Six Sigma thinking, tools, and methods.
Mr. Luo Biao, the quality manager of the injection molding factory, gave a detailed explanation and introduction on Six Sigma training, encouraging everyone to work hard, learn knowledge, improve their abilities, and better serve the company.
Finally, Mr. An Wenzhi, Senior Technical Director of the Injection Molding Plant Technology Department, explained the Six Sigma policy of the injection molding plant, hoping that everyone will cherish the opportunity to continuously improve themselves, develop together with Dongjiang, and improve together.
